Volunteer

Oakridge Logo

Are you a citizen of the Oakridge area looking to get involved and help our community?  The City has a number of ways to volunteer your time, including numerous volunteer committees, commissions, and boards.  These committees consist of citizens, City Staff, and a City Councilor representative, all working together to improve our town.  There are additional volunteer opportunities working the police and fire departments as well (contact the police & fire departments directly to learn more about those opportunities).  Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis and all positions are open until filled.  Here is what you need to do to apply:

1. Read the Oakridge Volunteer Policy Manual below.

2. Fill out the Application Form below (or pick up a paper copy from City Hall), and then submit it to City Administrator James Cleavenger in-person at City Hall or via email to:  cityadministrator@ci.oakridge.or.us

3. Attend the City Council meeting (in-person or virtually via Zoom) to be appointed (Councilor may ask you a few questions about your application and why you decided to apply).

4. Once appointed, you will be asked to fill out a Volunteer Waiver Form prior to beginning your term.

It's that easy!!
