Uptown Revitalization Workshop ("Build Your Dream Downtown") at 4pm at the Oakridge Pioneer Museum

Greetings Friends and Neighbors, 

   The UBRA Board cordially invites you to reserve your place for the "Build Your Dream Town/Downtown" on Thursday April 25th from 4-7 pm.  We have space for up to 50 participants at the Oakridge Pioneer Museum in Uptown Oakridge. Please RSVP to  uptownrevitalization@gmail.com  to confirm your spot at the workshop. 

   All ages and folks from across the community are encouraged to come and brainstorm a vision for our Main Street neighborhood. Expect to have some fun, visit with friends and meet new people. Snacks and beverages will be provided by RAIN.  Parking is available on the street and in the lot next to the museum.  Arriving by bike or walking is encouraged!

    Rural Development Initiatives is providing this workshop through funding they received from The Ford Family Foundation. The facilitator, Cayla Catino will guide us through a variety of hands-on activities to stimulate our thinking about what could happen in our business and residential district in Uptown.  The Uptown Business and Revitalization Association (UBRA), invited RDI to help us keep the progress and momentum we've seen in the past few years with new businesses, new ideas, and a fresh perspective for the future. 

     Our facilitator will help participants identify some themes and later meet with key leaders to develop a priority list for the next steps.  If those next steps need funds, Cayla will make recommendations for funding sources to bring the projects to fruition.  A written report will be produced to document the results.  

      The UBRA Board is encouraged by the business activity in Uptown and looks forward to hearing more input from the community.
