Middle Fork Complex 08/31/21 – Evacuation Level Reduction

As fire crews continue to make significant progress on the Middle Fork Complex fires in the eastern portion of Lane County, the Lane County Sheriff’s Office is announcing that evacuation levels are able to be downgraded at this time.

The current Level 1 ‘BE READY’ evacuation notices for all of the Oakridge / Westfir areas are being canceled. These areas include all evacuation levels that had previously been in place on both sides of Hwy. 58 between Milepost 30 and Milepost 42.

Community members are encouraged to remain vigilant and to pay attention to current conditions and notifications. Although evacuation levels are being reduced today, hot weather and dry conditions still pose an elevated risk of wildfire.
